DESCRIPTION:Learner Drive Nights are an experience night for learner drivers in a controlled\, safe environment. Learn how to act and respond to Emergency Vehicles & Personnel in on-road simulations. Build confidence in your dealings with those that are here to keep you safe!\nThe purpose of this course is to provide familiarisation for learner drivers when faced with Emergency Vehicles & Personnel. From pulling out of the way to allow emergency vehicles to pass\, to the act of being pulled over\, the interaction and RBT processes.\nThis opportunity allows learners to become confident in their actions when faced with flashing lights and sirens; as well as what to expect when interacting with emergency staff. \nWhat will you learn and experience? \nBefore heading out on to Lakeside Park Raceway each learner driver will receive a short briefing in a classroom environment\, where the police will outline the on-track procedures \nWhat to expect when emergency vehicles approach\nYour responsibilities when emergency vehicles approach\nHow to let emergency vehicles pass\nExperience emergency vehicles passing enroute to a job\nRBT interactions and simulations\nExperience and learn what to do when being pulled over by emergency personnel\nSafe practices when dealing with emergency situations\nUnderstand your responsibilities in any situation when interacting with emergency personnel. \nThe sessions are scheduled as follows:\nThe experience is divided into three groups\, each consisting of a maximum of 25 learners and their supervisors.\nEach group will have a one-hour session.\nGroup 1 starts at 4:00 PM\, with each subsequent group beginning on the hour until the final session which will begin at 6:00 PM. \nPrice:\n$40 per driver. \nRegistering:\nPlease ensure that when creating the account\, you use the Learner Driver’s details\, not the parent/supervisors. \nParticipants must hold at least a Learner Driver’s license or higher to register. \nWhile the event primarily targets Learner drivers\, young drivers on their P plates or experienced drivers are also welcome to participate. Only Learner Drivers are required to have a supervising driver present. \nSupervisors must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid OPEN driver’s license. \nPre-registration is recommended.
