Bribie Island Day Trip and WWII Forts

This will enable us to contact you the week before with meeting point detail and any other details should there be any late changes to meeting points, times, cancellations, etc.

NOTE: 24hr number plate surveillance cameras are in use at Bribie Island Recreation Area. A penalty of $215 applies for entering a recreation area without a valid vehicle access permit

Trip Details:
We will then head north up past the lagoons and Fort Bribie day use area to the remains of the gun emplacements. We will then head back the Fort Bribie day for a facilities break then drive south on ocean beach looking for a lunch spot near one of the lagoons.
Lunch and beach games to follow till around 3pm when we will head south to Woorim beach access track, exit beach and air up at Bribie Island access car park.
Be prepared for any type of weather rain, sun, wind etc., bring your own food, water shade, chairs, beach games and a sense of adventure.

This trip will be perfect for visitors, new members, and all 4WD capable Jeeps!

Minimum safety gear for all BJC trips:
Enclosed footwear is mandatory for all off road trips except beach trips
Rated vehicle tow hooks front and rear. A Hayman Reese recovery adaptor is good for the rear tow hook.
Snatch strap
Two rated shackles
Winch/Strap Damper
First aid kit
Fire extinguisher
UHF two way, handheld is fine
Visitors can do two trips
Pets are not permitted on club trips
Alcohol is not to be consumed by drivers or passengers on runs
No illegal drugs or firearms are permitted at any time.

It is recommended that you:
Take sufficient water and food for the duration of the trip
Fill up with petrol before you arrive at the meeting point
Take sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat.
